The Actor
Jon Davis teaches Drama at Jellicoe Theatre for the performing arts curriculum for the a-level and degree courses. Alongside this he also teaches Drama for a Dorset Education Course and he tutors mature students for the Bournemouth Adult Education Drama courses.. He is a qualified L.A.M.D.A. tutor and his students have an outstanding success rate. Alongside this Jon also teaches drama to children aged 4 - 16 at Stagecoach Theatre Arts Poole, where he has directed and produced shows since April 2008. He currently performs as an actor for Treehouse Theatre Company and has toured along the south coast as a T.I.E. (Theare in Education) actor.
Jon is an energetic and creative personality who motivates and challenges the children to realise their potential and he is very skilled at imparting knowledge and teaching skills using exciting and fun activities during his lessons. Jon uses praise to create a positive, creative and imaginative learning environment where the students feel supported to try anything. HIs lessons are lively and charged with energy and children leave Writer's Inked each week excited about the skills they have acquired and talking about what's in store for their next drama lesson, testament to an outstanding tutor.
